INTERNET 101 Make your website work Making a website work means that the words on your page, and the words in your metatags must correspond with each other - and must be about what you want your site to do. If you are selling a product this information needs to tell people what your product is, and to come to your site to get it. If you're not selling products - your description needs to tell people what they are going to find on your site, and preferably why they should come there. Simple principles - say what you are selling, and then really have it. The more accuratly your meta description reflects the content of your site, the better results you're going to have. Tip: Treat every page as a home page - every page is a possible entry point - these principles need to be followed consistantly throughout your entire website. |
